Frequently Asked Questions
What to do if your prescription has another therapy clinic name on it / my doctor wants me to go to their therapy clinic.
Thrive Rehabilitation believes in open access to medical treatment and patient advocacy. If you have a valid prescription, that "script" allows you to choose where YOU decide to go. We accept valid prescriptions referred from any treating doctor, with any companies logo on it. You have a choice! The limiting factor may be if the medical facility accepts your insurance. We accept most insurances and give you a free insurance verification to let you know your benefits.
My doctor wants me to go somewhere else but I want to go to Thrive, if your a new patient we offer FREE consultations to see if Thrive is right for you. We have an open conversation about how your injury is affecting you and how we can help. We can speak to you and your doctor to help everyone be on the same page. Once you choose Thrive Rehab we will then start the initial evaluation and get you started on your road to success.
What are the benefits of seeing a Physical Therapist?
Thrive Rehab's physical therapists examine, evaluate, and treat patients who have conditions such as back pain, neck pain, burns, wounds, osteoporosis, developmental disabilities, carpal tunnel syndrome, and countless other conditions affecting your ability to move freely and without pain.
Our physical therapists are evidence-based health care professionals who offer cost-effective treatment that helps improve motion and relieve pain.
How can a physical therapist help?
We are always conducted extensive consumer research through surveying our patients and continuing education. We learned that our patients, are really looking for three things:
improved mobility and motion,
an alternative to surgery and,
to reduce the need for prescription medications, when possible.
Here's how our physical therapist can help you achieve these goals:
Improving Mobility and Motion:
Motion is essential to your quality of life. Whether it is an everyday task such as emptying the dishwasher, a sports activity like golf, or an essential activity such as performing their job, our team can help you experience improved mobility and function. Our physical therapist also helps to prevent injuries and promote a healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Providing a Conservative Option to Surgery:
While surgery can be the best course of treatment for certain diagnoses, there is evidence to indicate that physical therapists can offer an alternative. Considering conservative options to surgery is the start of quality care. Physical therapy is one of these options for many individuals.
When there is a need for surgery, our physical therapist can enhance the outcome both before and after surgery. Additionally, for those individuals whose health conditions prevent surgery from being an option, Thrive can be the best alternative in helping them improve or maintain the quality of your life.
Managing Pain Effectively Without Long-Term Use of Medication:
Thrive's physical therapist can help patients control pain, often reducing the need for long-term use of medications. Studies reveal that individuals who receive physical therapy experience greater improvement in function with less pain. While recognizing that medication is an essential component in the management of many acute and chronic conditions, our physical therapist can provide an alternative to the long-term use of medications for the management of pain and certain other health conditions.
Am I Expected to keep my appointments?
Yes: You are expected to keep your appointments but we do understand that life happens. Please just let us know as early as possible so our therapists schedules can be amended.
Arrive for treatment sessions at the scheduled time or a few minutes early so you are prepared. Late arrival may affect not only your 1-on-1 time with the therapist, but that of other patients in the clinic.
